🥞 Skill Stacking

Since I wrote my newsletter on financial freedom I have been getting a lot of messages about what ‘idea’ people can use to start making money online.

My typical response has been that you don’t actually need a brilliant and unique ‘idea’. You need to find a problem and provide a solution and ideally this problem is faced by people who can afford to pay for a solution to it.

The main question that follows this is regarding skills. How do you scale effectively cause you can only earn so much from offering one service or skill? And part of the answer to this is ‘skill stacking’. Essentially, once you get started it’s important to continuously be gaining more skills and adding them to your value offering allowing you to charge a higher price and create a better ‘bundle’.

An example would be, if you start with copywriting and then stack it with:

• Video editing

• Graphic Design

• Branding and Strategy

• Social media management

• Website development and SEO

And suddenly you have the makings of a marketing lead.

Alex Hormozi talks about it a lot on his podcast and describes it as the single best way to increase your earnings. He also suggests investing into courses, coaching and other materials - something which I haven’t done as I prefer to self-learn from YouTube, books and newsletters. There are so many courses around these days that it is really hard to tell which ones are worth it and which ones aren’t.

So, for all those who are stuck at a particular level of income, consider skill stacking and upgrading your game.
