- š¤ āNiche' Who?
Hey everyone,
Today, I want to talk about ānichesā. The idea that you must do something wholly unique and never done before is flawed and can dampen our creativity. It can also be a massive hurdle and stop us from getting started.
š The Big Idea
Finding a ānicheā that hasnāt been done before is unrealistic. What you will realise once you start is that you will become the ānicheā yourself.
The simple mindset shift that worked for me:
You are the niche. Your opinion matters. Your experiences are valuable.
We arenāt supposed to fall into a category or topic. By sharing your experiences and knowledge on things you enjoy, you will automatically become a āniche-of-oneā: YOU. And thatās because the way you view/do things are unique to you.
š Your Action Item:
Pick one topic you enjoy that you could discuss for 30 minutes (AI, finance, fiction, tech, music etc.)
Once decided, educate someone close to you on the topic, e.g. a family member, a friend, or a peer. Do it in bite-sized chunks and get feedback. This will prepare you to share on a larger platform and identify what you can improve before even beginning! Remember, we donāt need to be experts about something before we start. The aim is to share our knowledge; if we help just āone other personā, we have succeeded.

I have just finished this book! I canāt recommend it enough if you havenāt read it yet. Stephen talks about changing your character rather than your behaviours, as most self-help books tend to do. My next book will be Never Split The Difference. Hopefully, I can start it later this week!
