⚙️ The Hub And Spoke Model
The only content system you will ever need.
Hey everyone,
Today, I want to discuss creating a content system so you never run out of ideas or posts.
Essentially, this is called the hub and spoke model. Gary Vee and many others reference this model, yet not all creators use it! There are other ways of creating high-quality content, too. Still, I have found this to be the most effective way of staying consistent and maintaining quality - especially when I was posting on LinkedIn daily.
Ideally, you want to start off by creating a long form of content such as a newsletter, podcast episode or video. This will form your ‘hub’ from which the other ideas or ‘spokes’ will sprout. Then consider your hub and see what wheels could be sprouted off and what media that could be in.
For example, if you have created a YouTube video, you should chop it off into multiple little YouTube shorts to be posted not only on YouTube but also on Instagram and TikTok. You could then convert your video into short text-based posts for LinkedIn and X(Twitter)/Threads. If you wish, you could also convert your video into a newsletter (another long-form piece).
This way you repurpose your content not once but multiple times in different formats to keep it fresh and engaging for your audience, as well as not having the pressure of having to create new content for every platform.
A short one this week but I have a few deadlines that I am catching up on with the Christmas holidays right round the corner! I really can’t believe that I have been writing for ¾ of a year still! Hopefully, I can put into motion the things I have planned and increase the production value and more of this newsletter!
See you all next week!
Cheers,
Sanay
