Hey everyone,
How are you all?
It feels like ages since I last wrote to all of you!
As you know, last week, I shared a new project that I am a part of - if you missed it, go check out What Medical School Doesn’t Teach Us!
It’s designed to be the one-stop shop to make medical students and junior doctors financially savvy!
Well, this week, I have got even more news to share!
Going forward, you can expect a weekly (or near-weekly) short on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok!
I have actually already uploaded a trial short on Instagram and YouTube to see how it all works - I would really appreciate any support and love you could give 🙂
Also, please forgive the editing and the soundtrack - I am learning to edit videos, and Epidemic Sound has an incredible tracklist. So, the videos will improve over time (I hope) - please bear with me!
The plan is to go and upload full-length videos to YouTube, which are complemented by the newsletter and my LinkedIn!
Next up, I put out my first hire post last week. If you missed it on LinkedIn - check it out here! Unfortunately, applications for this role are now closed! However, do keep an eye out on my LinkedIn, as I will be hiring for more roles in the near future 😉 I will also make sure to advertise via the newsletter for anyone who misses the LinkedIn post!
I must say - the work medical students are doing outside medicine is crazy 🤯 The CVs I received, and candidates I have spoken to so far are amazing 🤌🏾
Finally, and this is probably the big news. When I started my journey 6 months ago, I set myself a target: earn £1k MRR 🎯
Well, I passed this goal at the end of August 2023!
Truthfully, since I have passed the goal, I have felt a bit aimless as I don’t know what to do next. I am slightly unsure about whether my next goal should simply be £2k MRR if I should aim higher, or really what the right ‘goal’ is.
If you have any thoughts on what I should do - please hit reply and let me know 🙂
In the meantime, I have decided to set myself a goal of growing my YouTube channel to 1,000 subs over the next few months and I want to see how I get on with that. I also think that growing on YouTube complements what I have been doing with my newsletter, LinkedIn and the copywriting business. It will help tie everything in.
I hope that has made some sense! I thought it was only right that all of you on this rollercoaster journey with me are kept updated on everything happening!
I am back in the UK next week after my trip to India! Unfortunately, I haven’t had much chance to sit down and read recently. But I do have a very nice podcast episode in the recs section 🙂

🎧 Podcast: Ali Abdaal and Daniel Priestley
This was by far one of the best entrepreneurial advice types of podcasts I have listened to in a while (barring those from Acquired.FM). Daniel gives sound advice on how to build your first $10k business and then become ‘oversubscribed’. Worth listening if you have got some spare time and want to up your business 😉
