🤨 Which Creator Platform is Right For You?
Set yourself up for success.
Hey everyone, now that we have chosen a topic to create content on, it’s time to choose the platform best suited to us. This is super important because the right platform matched to the right content can do wonders for you.
💭 The Big Idea
There are so many platforms to choose from these days. Each platform also has its algorithm, its form of media, and its own ‘requirements’. You must consider the time of creating content, engaging with other creators, what skills are needed and more.
The simple idea that worked for me:
Choose one that I enjoy and already have a following on.
It’s all about leveraging what you already have. I had roughly 660 followers on LinkedIn before I started posting regularly. It was the no-brainer choice. I also enjoy the platform and find interacting with other creators and my audience easy. Choose what suits you best.
📝 Your Action Item:
Duplicate the Notion Template and fill it in. It will narrow down your options.
The Notion template also contains notes I made whilst deciding what platform to start on. It isn’t a definitive guide, but it helped me choose. Add or modify the database as you see fit; you should consider what platform compliments your particular type of content more, e.g. teaching maths may be more suited to a video format rather than text.

🚙 My Solopreneur Journey:
It’s been an extremely busy week! I have met 2 new people this week too! I can’t believe I have been writing continuously on LinkedIn for 28 days now and have written 4 newsletters! It’s so true that the biggest hurdle is just starting. I have not once looked back or regretted starting this journey. I have recently been planning how to juggle my side hustle with my upcoming exams. It has meant that I have had to front-load a lot of my work, but hopefully, it all works out in the long run. Also, I just want to say a massive thank you to all of you who have been reading this over the last month! I appreciate all of you. Speak soon!
In the meantime:
If you have any feedback for me,
Or you have any ideas for me to explore,
Or, you would like to have a chat
please reply to this email or book a meeting with me here. I would love to hear from you!
Cheers,
Sanay

🧠 My Recommendations
📚 Book: Never Split The Difference
Currently reading this! The tactics in the book are designed to make you a better negotiator. I have found it to be thought-provoking, and Voss has a unique take on ideas that allow you to be in the driver’s seat. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to close deals with clients or become a better negotiator in general!
🎧 Podcast: Ali Abdaal and Cal Newport
I skipped Steven and Simon Sinek’s 2nd episode for this one because I haven't yet gotten around to reading the highly acclaimed Deep Work. Ali and Cal talk about how to lead a meaningful life, be productive in a digital world and the whole creator business economy. I found it to be very insightful and packed with knowledge for my side hustle.
