š Convert Comments into Followers
An easy to use 3-step framework for guaranteed follower growth.
Hey everyone! I have been playing around with a few different types of commenting strategies on LinkedIn and found one that constantly engages and converts to followers. If used correctly, it can help you gain followers quicker than your regular posts.
š The Big Idea
Posting content consistently is just one piece of the puzzle. You need to get more eyes on what you post to increase engagement and overall growth. The way to do this is often by commenting on other creatorsā posts in the same space as you. This way, you gain followers who will be interested in the posts you make. I use a 3-step method to ensure my comments have a high chance of converting followers.
I call it the PAC framework:
Praise
Add
Close
Letās break it down using an example comment I made to one of Justinās posts:

Step 1: Praise the creator

Use a simple phrase to support the creator and their post; also a great way to build rapport.
Step 2: Add Value

Here I have added my unique perspective on Justinās post, referencing a commonly used idiom: trial and error.
Your value must be a different perspective, something that resonates or a question.
Step 3: Closing statement

Round off your comment using a catchy sentence which hammers home your point.
I have referenced another common idiom here: a pot of gold; the fact is none of us can hope to get lucky. We can only make our luck surface area larger.
Finished comment:

Thatās it! I have added some more examples below; each one is slightly different but follows the same PAC framework.

š Your Action Item:
Use this framework at least 6-8 times this week
I was able to gain 22 followers from the 3 examples above. I have also received multiple connection requests from other solopreneurs saying how my comments resonated with them.
You may not start growing straightaway, but neither did I. It will take practice, but the results will come.
Let me know how it goes for you! I will be super excited to hear back!
P.S. If you have more questions, just send me an email! Happy to help š
š My Solopreneur Journey:
Itās been an interesting week. I have spent time rethinking and reassessing how I want to take things forward. I have also officially begun prospecting clients who may be interested in working with me (more on that below!) and taking it from there. Due to my inexperience, a client has already rejected me, but thatās part of the game. I wonāt learn if I donāt have setbacks. It did teach me how to land my first one š
LinkedIn growth is steadily climbing, whereas the newsletter is relatively slower, which is expected. I also want to rebrand things around a bit and make this newsletter more personal than just being a pure side hustle tips newsletter. There have been days when I have wanted to share more and learn from all of you but have been restricted because of what the newsletter's aims are.
Just excited to be on this journey and see where it takes me. Thank you to everyone who reads this every week. I appreciate all your support. It genuinely means a lot.
See you all next week!
Cheers,
Sanay

š§ My Recommendations
š Book: Indistractable by Nir Eyal
I actually listened to this as an audiobook with Nir himself doing the cover. A brilliant book on how to take back control of your time, especially in a world where our attention is constantly being vied for by various distractions.
š§ Podcast: Modern Wisdom and David Goggins
I would drop everything else you are listening to and play this. It is probably the most impactful podcast I have listened to this week, apart from Simon Sinekās appearance on Diary of A CEO. Enjoy this; I am not giving any sneak peeks.
